The limewater or lime wash, translated from German, is one of the oldest methods to add calcium to the reef aquarium. It has proven its usefulness: corals experience better and stronger growth, without side effects. ROWA lime consists of 98.2% pure calcium hydroxide, to make limewater (lime wash) and for use in limewater stirrers (lime wash). The lime wash is a solution obtained by dissolving calcium hydroxide in water.
