The microporous surface of each sphere maximizes the area of use, with a total area of 54 ㎡ per sphere for the establishment of bacterial colonies. It is suitable for the growth of various microorganisms and forms a stable and highly active biofilm on its surface.
The three-dimensional void formed by the spheres creates a perfect medium for bacterial proliferation. They are an ideal base for the growth of sponges, micro fauna, and even coral fragments.
The bio filter spheres will work in sumps, trickle filters, wet and dry filters, hung on back filters, or directly in the tank.
